Winter activities on our family carp fishing venue Windmill Lake
Submitted by Mark de Zwart on 27-12-2017
It has been a busy December at our French carp lake Windmill Lake! A group of specialists have been busy with netting the lake. All the carp have been moved to the stocking pond next to Windmill Lake.
Now that the lake is totally empty, they have cut back all snaggs, reduced the mud and removed all the crayfish. The shallow parts of the lake have been dug out so the fish can easily visit all zones in the lake.
The dark green areas have been dug out by a professional digger this winter and are about 3 feet deeper then before
Windmill lake will finish their activities this January, the lake is filling up quickly and the carp will be put back in February. Right in time for the fishing season of 2018!
