Weekly catch report of Lac de Villedon - weeks 31 May - 14 June 2014
Submitted by Bas van Klaveren on 16-06-2014
2 weeks at Lac de Villedon that have been a bit tough for the anglers in terms of the number of carp caught... but what was caught was really big as John reports below:
"It were 2 weeks that were a bit quiet with the catches at Villedon. The temperatures rose very quick, and the water temperature rose with 10 Degrees Celcius in 2 weeks. The carp have finally spawned now... but still 30 carp over 20kg and 8 over 25kg were caught. Biggest ones were 30.3kg (common carp) and 30.5kg (mirror carp). The 30.3kg was a special one, it was the 100th carp caught over 25kg in the 2014 season! Last year in June, we had 'only' 50 carp caught over 25kg in this time of year... so that means that the catches of 25kg carp have doubled in one year only!"
Don't wait too long to book your trip to Villedon for the autumn 2014 or 2015... it's going quick with this numbers of big carp getting caught!
